I would clean them all out and get two new rugs. Actually 3.

a rug for the entry door. a waterhog. Once you have wiped your feet or removed your shoes, you don't need a rug until you get to the main foyer area (in front of the dark cabinet with the urn)

Looks like you like green, how about a patterned rug like a border print with a rich green and other more vivid colors for that area?

Also, t a much larger area rug for that room beyond where that lone coffee table is sitting on the island.

I do love green, but the house was painted by the previous owners, which is why my kitchen is yellow and orange, not apple green. My living room has a large rug, but beyond where a rug I own and like is under a coffee table.

You could select a broadloom carpet and have your area rugs and the runner required for the stair cut to the sizes you require.

You can select a patterned carpet or a multitone carpet for the stairs and area rug.
