Big spinach lovers in this house, but I don't usually grow it.

I am nowhere close on bingo words.

Below is pics of the beauties that Promise sent me. The first is a beautiful Sunflower Fairy positioned in my wild violets. My mom loved the wild wood violets.

The second is a tin with the Apple Blossom Fairy.

Have a good day. My family from CA finally made it here. By plane it took them about 24 hours. All sorts of problems with planes and schedules not lining up, etc. They had 3 places to change planes and at one point 8 hours to wait between flights. They sure are tired.

I tried to total up the points so far. Hope I got all of them. Right now Annie and Sharon are tied for first. However, everyone is only a point or two behind them so it's neck and neck.

Princess Grace of Monaco (Annie), my only experience with Mexican Train Dominoes was that my mother-in-law lived in a senior living situation and the ladies there loved to play it. We played it with her and either bought or got it as a gift shortly after that. Might be a senior living thing because they have a group that plays it here as well. I guess I didn't realize it was that much of an "unknown" game.

Everyone enjoy the day! I finally took pictures of the mini daffodils growing here and if they aren't all blurred, I will post one. I was walking my dog when I took the picture so no telling how clear they will be.

If you haven't done so already please post if you sent and or received. Obviously Annie is still waiting because I just mailed a few days ago. Anyone else still waiting to receive? My organization with all of this has not been up to par to say the least.

Zinnia Fairy 🐝🌷

How is everyone? Bingo is not so great for me. Cant believe the month is almost over.

But a big yay.... my zinnia cactus flowers, dahlia unwins mix, and nasturtium seeds have sprouted and are looking great. I had my moms fountain brought over here last summer but nobody set it up. I was outside trying to scout it where I want it. Its gonna be difficult because I cant lift it to put it together. I was thinking of using it as pots for flowers. But not sure what to put in it. Not using it for water because of the desert sun. Also dont want to attract any more squirrels, rabbits, or snakes. Cant wait to put them outside.. How long should I wait?

I moved a couple of bricks I had made a border with and there was a huge scorpion under it. Thankfully I know better and picked it up by the top of the brick.

Glad to see some members posting. Having a really nice time with my family. Unfortunately they had lots of flight problems getting here so we lost about 1 day of our visit. They will be here for my birthday tomorrow then they fly back home, hopefully with fewer problems.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Princess Grace of Monaco. It's a major milestone this year. Guess I should be happy to continue to be alive instead of disliking the numbers getting higher. Today we went to one of my favorite nurseries in the area and my daughters bought me the 3 plants that I picked out. Hopefully I picked out some that will be happy on my balcony. It's mostly shade and I have seldom worked with potted plants in lots of shade, but we'll see.

Love seeing the pictures and hearing what's happening in everyone's garden. Mine seems very slow this year. My last daffodils are blooming and I saw my first rose bloom yesterday. Today I saw a couple buds on my iris. There is so much work to be done and every day there seems to be a reason not to work in the yard.

The Euless Spring plant swap is next Saturday, and I don't have anything ready to take. I hate digging at the last minute but looks like that will happen.

Promise, I just remembered the fig cutting this morning. Did it make the trip okay?

Anybody else grow figs? I can't eat them because of the seeds, but family loves them. I had three varieties at the beginning of last year and lost two of them. I would really like to add one back this year.

Ruth your plant swap sounds like fun! Would love to see pics of the event if you can post some. I wish we had a swap like that here for plants or even seeds!

Sharon, I agree. Ruth's plant swaps sound like so much fun.......non existent around here. We Southern Californians think we are so hot but we really are not that cool. To think we have incredible weather and no plant swap is to be found.

Ruth, I do have a Fig Tree...BROWN TURKEY. It is in a very large container....a half whiskey barrel. It does produce. I ate a fig off the tree a few years ago...tasted fine. I bought it because I liked the leaves. I never prune it but I should. I think I will go do that right now.

I am going to pour myself a glass of vino. I have been so good...and not had a glass of wine in so long. No wine.....I stopped smoking 14 months ago.....what is next?? Good grief....bad grief!!

How did your craft event go?

I’m finally working in the yard today. Got the asparagus bed almost ready to plant. Transplanted some daylilies and a redbud tree and planted a jujube tree. If the wind isn't too bad, tomorrow should be another good day to work in the yard before we get a few days of rain.

Also potted up a few things for the swap. I will take some pictures. We used to have 3 Spring and 3 Fall swaps in the area. Now there isn't as many but still several. Y'all may have to start some swaps in your area. Check with your city's garden club.

Princess Grace Of Monaco, good for you on the quit smoking. My surviving fig is also Brown Turkey. Fig leaf tea is supposed to be very good for you. I tried it last year with fresh leaves. Didn't have much flavor, but I will try it again. Maybe with fresh and dried leaves.

My Scilla/Spanish Bluebells are blooming today. Do y'all remember Faye Tilley? She sent me these many years ago. They haven't multiplied any, but I'm happy they are still surviving.

OH MY, just opened today's mail and got more goodies from The Zinnia Fairy. A beautiful card, some permanent flower transfers and a ton of veggie seeds. I feel so spoiled. Thank you so much. Will post pictures later if my phone cooperates. It's being cranky right now.

Ruth - it was a bad day for sales. Thankfully I shared my booth so only had to pay half the fees. Profited $12 after fees. Going to an outdoor market on Sunday. No fees. Hopefully its more successful.

I still need to go outside and put the chicken wire up. Havent had the motivation to get it done. Its windy here today too and the weather was a little chilly the last two days. I have time though, the seedlings arent ready to go out yet.

Ladies, thanks for all of the participation this month and the birthday wishes. Must admit that with all I have going on, I have been a bit scatter brained with my participation. Hopefully in another month things will have progressed a lot. Definitely has been a rough several months since the move began and I am ready to be down to ONE place.

There were severe storm warnings for this area, but so far only a short burst of rain. Hope it blows through with only that - we can use rain.

I don't think I got my picture of the beds of mini-daffodils to post for me yet so here it is. They are the shortest I've ever seen and planted in abundance around the grassy area in rectangular beds. So pretty.

Just updating. I believe everyone has now received their March package/envelope. If you have not, let me know and I'll check on it. I tried to find the last time I updated and the sequence of postings is really confusing these days. Thanks for participating. I'll get prizes in the mail in a few days to a week. Still tackling getting items out of my house. So worn out from sorting through things. I just went through 1,400 slides in the last few days. Now instead of in slide trays they are in snack bags. Of course, I threw away any bad pictures or scenic pictures when I had no idea where it was. Did all of you have about a 10 years period when all the pictures taken seemed to be slides? It sure was like that with my family.

Very hot here. Went up to 90 degrees today and here it is just April 4th.

I don't know if anyone will look back to the March heading, but I got the prizes for the March games mailed out yesterday. I hope you'll enjoy them. Happy Easter!
