I like this vine too, and know how it can be quirky. It may surprise you to hear that it is really pretty hardy when well-established, and is even used as a freeway plant in this area.

Your plant clearly has a lot of life in it; I think it will recover if placed in better light. If it were mine I would have it right in my best window, and would feed it every third watering. I would not repot or take cuttings until the new growth was really long.

I find cuttings to be a bit tricky, so I usually root them in water in a darkened bottle (like a foil wrapped beer bottle).
