Azalea Hedge of Many Colors

last month

I have a few extra azaleas I “acquired” last fall and I’m interested in planting a small azalea hedge. Really love the multi color look.

Varieties I have are, Girard’s, Herbert’s, Louise, and Delaware Valley white. However, all these have different spacing requirements.

I want a smooth, seamless hedge… with some of these varieties growing only 2 to 3 feet wide and other 4 to 6 feet, how should I go about this?

I’m worried about them looking odd and not consistently spaced until they grow in together if I observe every plants spacing needs.

Suggestions? How should I do this?
