Ingrid, I love your photo of LV. I'm sure you will find an MFK photo.

I have kept my ARE roses in their original ARE pots (2gal I think) for months up to a year I think. Here, I think growing them longer in a pot before planting has led to a greater success. I think over time, like your Fall, you could get them into 5-7 gal pots and leave them there. I'll put in a photo of Beaute Inconstante from ARE in a pot maybe a year, almost blooming.

Sheila, many thanks, just what I wanted to know. I'm amazed how large your plant grew in its pot. I feel very comfortable now letting my guys stay at least until fall or winter (dependent on the good will of the roof rats of course).

Ingrid, I’m so glad you bought Rockwall, Mine is in its eighth year, still potted, although recently I moved it to a whisky barrel. This was its first bloom this year.

These are more recent (last week).
My only caveat is that Rockwall is very sensitive to drought. She wilts faster than other roses if not watered regularly (or if the drip hose accidentally gets disconnected, as happened last year. Check her soil frequently.
I had her in a walled patio with morning shade for 6 years, until this spring. Now she is in full sun. If she really doesn’t like it, I’ll moved her again, but she has grown like mad since her transplant, with all those candelabra buds.

My Rockwall isn't as gorgeous an individual bloom as Sylvia's (mine tend toward white) but I agree it's a terrific rose. Mine makes a small 2-3' rounded shrub that blooms its heart out under non-ideal situations. I grow mine in part sun, but I would agree with Sylvia's suggestions to make sure it has plenty of water under full sun conditions (she knows your climate better).

Rockwall is a great pot pet and in a modest sized pot it would be happy with enough water. You might try planting it with the Soil Moist water crystals to tide it over between watering.
