I would get one large panel and always open them to the right (similar to how you would handle a sliding glass door). For optimal fullness you want a panel that is at least twice the width of the window. You can buy some ready-made drapes that are 90-100" panels, but they are harder to find than the standard 45-50" size. You should anchor the left side of the rod just inside the door trim. Get the kind that wrap instead of standing out from the wall if you don't want any light bleeding out on the ends. Do you have a blind on the door?
