Can the fireplace facing and hearth tile match?

I selected some ceramic tile that i love for my fireplace facing and im having difficulty finding a coordinating latger tile for the hearth. would it look weird to have both match. Attached pic is from tile store virtual visualizer. My mantel is black.

no, but a slab might be more interesting for the hearth.

Is it recessed into the flooring? I would do something dark like the floor rather than light.

thank you for your response! Yes. it is recessed into the flooring and i already have dark wood flooring so i think a dark tile might clash.

A dark honed (matte) slab in absolute granite could work as the hearth.
