Mine had tabs for side mount to be used with a stone counter. Should be in the instructions.

Unfortunately I can't get a look at it right now, but IIRC I wasn't thrillef with those tabs taking all the weight. My counter was inset (not full thickness throughout) so I glued a piece of 1-by up there and mounted to that as well.

Perhaps overkill, but the simple drywall screws my contractor used on the sides in my last house, were a quick fail so I didn't want to take chances.

I wouldn't drill and screw anything to the stone counter. Especially near the edge.

You can also use silicone and clamps with a day to cure to mount the bracket to the underside of the counter.

Mine screws into the wood cabinets that flank the dishwasher. No screws on top.

The top mounting brackets in your photo are for attaching the dishwasher to the underside of the countertop. Follow the instructions in section 4.5 Mounting Brackets > Side Mount on page 9 of the installation manual. Attaching the mounting brackets to the top of the dishwasher was an error.

Thanks all! Let me take a look. The dishwasher and mounting brackets were installed by previous owners because they had plywood underneath the countertop (which we removed when we installed the 3cm slabs)

Seems like the side mounts are the right way to go. does side mount require different brackets? We have find the manual as previous owners installed the dishwasher

You have the mounting fixture you need. The tab at each end can be bent down so you can mount to the side cabinets, Watch the video. You also need the short screws show in the video.
