Use Alcove Shower Door as Bathtub Door, possible?

last modified: last month

Dear all, thanks again for helping in advance!

Here are some photos of our main bath remodel project (drywall finishing phase):

For the window on the left, we are thinking of tiling around the window and up to the ceiling, as the window is directly above the bathtub, something like this:

But for the window on the right, since we will only tile half-wall, so we are thinking of having regular window trim for that RIGHT window. Since these two windows would be handled differently, our designer suggested to have a "taller" bathtub door, so that it would create some visual separation between the two windows. Here is a computer rendering:

Since the regular "Bathtub Door" max height is only about 66" (normally it's only about 56" ~ 62" in height), so we are thinking of using a "Alcove Shower Door" (which usually are taller) and have it installed on top of the bathtub. Do you think this is possible? If that's not possible, anything else we can do to create some sort of visual separation (or distraction) we can do, to help people not to notice that these two windows are treated separately (before remodel, these two windows are symmetrical). Thanks!!
