Well its perefctly normal- it is stone and the reason you are buying stone versus a manmade product is you like the natural qualities... But, do you like these areas? Can they be cut around? With natural stone there are often areas of a slab we want to avoid or include and that is figured out when you do the layout with the fabricator.

MANY people have installed Taj Mahal in their kitchens over the past few years (it was used prior to the last few years - but it has become incredibly popular). I've seen it installed in both kitchens with white cabinets and with white oak cabinets.

You don't want to use a bright white with blue undertones on the cabinets - otherwise, Taj works with many paint colors + many types of stained wood.
