Need Chair Advice: Driftwood vs. White for New Oak Table

Hi all! I just bought a new oak table with a washed linen finish, and now I’m trying to decide on chairs. I found two options I really like—one in a driftwood finish that almost perfectly matches the
table, and another in white, which gives a more coastal vibe.

The driftwood chairs make the whole setup feel cohesive and blend nicely with other driftwood-stained pieces we already have in our great room and entryway. They feel timeless and grounded.

The white chairs, on the other hand, add a fresh contrast and lean more coastal, but I’m wondering if I might tire of the look sooner. Also a bit worried they might show wear more easily.

Has anyone faced a similar decision? Would love your thoughts—especially if you’ve mixed or matched finishes in a similar setup. Photos and suggestions welcome

Select the wood tone one and get the matching counter stools instead of what you have. The kitchen could use some wood accents.

Thanks, Beverly. I’m not looking to have the dining chairs and counter stools match. The stools work well with the adjoining kitchen and great room, which have a more cohesive, monotone feel. For the dining area, though, I’d like to introduce some wood tones to warm up the space and give it a more organic, grounded feel. I’m leaning toward the driftwood stain. I love the warmth and subtle coastal vibe it brings without feeling overly themed or beachy.
