How to update exterior?

I do not like the red brick and siding color together. The window trim is a light greige but the siding is creamier on the yellow side. I think the picture tones down the yellowish of the beige. Should I paint the siding, limewash the brick, add shutters, etc? Our pavers are a red brick too.

Paint the siding the same color as the windows. No to shutters. No to limewashing that classic red brick. Bigger and better landscaping will do wonders as well.

Agree NO limewashing, NO shutters. Paint everything that is not brick...

SW Raccoon Fur or SW Sage Mountain would compliment your red bricks.

I agree with the landscaping but we just planted last year, so it’s new and on the small side. We are repaving the walkway and adding a front patio.

Yeah I like lime washed brick but usually when the whole house is brick and no siding. I do like the darker siding but also don’t really want to paint the window trim

Maybe I should just start with painting the siding to match the window trim. Irritating the previous owners didn’t do that when they replaced it in 2021

Agreed. Paint the siding to match window trim. No shutters, no white wash, no brick painting. You just need time for plantings to fill in.

Your 2nd photo with the arched breezeway is lovely. It’s a shame they didn’t add some interesting details to the front of the house.
To me the variety of window sizes and how they’re positioned on the front of the house has a real lack of symmetry or at the very least something you can play up. Something tall planted between the entry and the 2 identical windows on the far left might balance the height of the gable.
There were suggestions for adding a different roof line. It all comes down to what you want to spend to create some curb appeal. Painting alone probably won’t do it.

I love the Racoon Fur charcoal paint in the example and how every square inch of white siding and trim was painted out, even the downspouts.. It's a Benjamin Moore color...couldn't find it in Sherwin Williams.

Adding shutters in the same Racoon Fur would break up the expanse of brick and give the white windows a chance to pop against the charcoal gray. The shutters add some weight.

I don't have software but here is a sketch to visualize concept.

My screen is not the best at accurate colors.

Paint companies have visualizers online you can upload a photo of your house and "paint" it using their colors. I think this would look good with your roof.
