Exterior color for MCM boxy home with carports

Need to replace roof and would love to paint exterior to bring this to modern life. Either do white/cream with black window trim or darker exterior with white window trim. Or maybe something more bold and architecturally pleasing with some personality. House has great character but exterior is just lacking..

I like the gray for the house color, but I wouldn't have the vertical and lower horizontal trim on the car ports a different color from the siding. The original house has just trim at the roof line, the additional white trim on the car ports adds attention to them and they are not where you want attention to go.

Can the roof be seen at all? It looks like roof color on this home would not matter. If it cannot be seen, go with white for light reflectivity.

It looks like someone took a nice modern home and added Taj Mahal sized carports and popped the roof with wild trim and mismatched paint. I'm glad you will have the opportunity to repaint and hopefully paint out the trim. Do you use both of these car ports? Any chance of tearing one or both of them out?

Kendrah is right, since the roof cant be seen, put on the white for light reflectivity. It wont interfere with your new paint colors, since you cant see it anyway. I would like having the 2 carports. I only have one, and have often wished I had two.

Your roof if flat, so no big difference what color you would go with. Not so visual. You can go black or white.

Here is rough rendering for gray/charcoal gray body and white trim.

Ahh you guys are right. I thought that white trim was part of roof! Noted with white! And kendrah - might tear the one on right to make inlaw suite there. And yes, I really want to change exterior paint color to something more appealing. Thank you guys

Hey, Ok we are working exterior paints. This was my inspiration to modernize the exterior but the Designer suggested to try white/creams. She said grays are phasing out. I would love to hear everyones input and any suggestions.

One more note - this has cedar wood on chimney (love but it’s too expensive). So just looking at painting original photo
