Can any one identify this little guy from my Taos Greenhouse

I found this little fellow in my greenhouse in Taos New Mexico. I have found 3 or 4 in the past few days. She is usually stretched out and about the size of a sharp pencil point, or possibly a little larger. I caught this one, and seem to have unintentionally killed it - so it curled up and does not move. Usually they are stretched out. Black and red with a lot of little black legs. The first photo is magnified about 4.5 times. The second photo to give you the size compared to a pen. I am wondering if she if friend or foe.



She revived a bit. This is 7 x magnification.
