IMO you're focusing your attention on the wrong items.

The tables work with your sofa. It's the rug and the wall color which need your attention.

I'd select a patterned colorful rug like I have posted below, and use the colors in the rug to select a paint color for the walls.

Also, looks like the sofa could use a good steam cleaning to bring it back to life.

This rug might be one to consider. Maybe change the wall color to a soft off-white or taupe.

Your gray wall color does not work with the color of your Travertine-look tile.

Beverlyfladeziner, thank you so much, the coffee table has stains on it so I love the look and shape of it, I think it's needs to be painted due to stains, what color do u suggest if I get the rug you suggested??

I suggest you paint the tables black, a cream & green area rug, coordinated accent pillows, your cream sheer curtains...

    Rug from Amazon

All the suggested rugs will work. The common theme is they are a lot larger than what you have now. Using painter’s tape, measure out the space which allows the front feet of the chairs and sofa (at a a minimum) to sit on the rug. Now measure it and go larger but not smaller. That brings a cohesion to the room.@lisedv showed you how rug, curtains and accessories make the room look deliberate and comfortable.

I happen to love Beverly’s taste in rugs, but the lighter colors from lisedv might be needed with the dark fabric on your furniture.

I don't understand the dilemma. You have to keep the furniture and the wall coverings.

Are you searching for a wall color? Looks like some drywall patching on the wall. Is that your only window?

Please take a photo from the doorway into the room.

Stay in one place and take 4 separate photos One of each wall.

Are you replacing the area rug? Is this a TV viewing room?

It certainly be more helpful to have pictures showing the entire room, all 4 walls.

See if you can’t easily fix the stain using some of the techniques on YouTube. See link posted.
I’d hate to see you paint the table if you can avoid it. Wood Salve sold on Amazon could help depending in the stain
Your room requires a much larger rug than you currently have. Probably at least 8x10
DO NOT PAINT THE TABLES BLACK. Geez

The room seems dark and a bit dreary. I’d paint over those walls (are they gray?) first thing with something much lighter. The wall color clashes with your floor and furniture anyway.

Instaed of spending money on paint get some lighting . I do not thnk your sofa goes well with painted furniture so a big no from me for painting.

Pictures taken with all your blinds OPEN, will give a better idea of what you’re working with.

Thanks for the additional photos. Nothing wrong with your furniture.

I would choose any one of the Sherwin Williams color options for your walls, the ceiling crown and trims are fine as is. It would lighten the room and compliment your existing floor and window coverings. Lighter walls will help bounce natural light from the windows areound the room during the day. Lighter walls will also help to lighten the space at night.

If you are set on painting any furniture, choose any of these colors as well, they will cover imperfections and lighten the look. I would choose a much larger area rug 8 x 10 in a border print (something with a pattern with colors you love). center the rug on your TV/surround. direct all your seating toward the TV in a nice conversational arrangement.

I would paint the double doors white, the same as your trim in the room.

Floor lamps are a great option if you don't want to add anymore furniture.

It's always a project, sometimes painting one wall at a time, so as not to disrupt the whole space. Keep us posted!

The green paint gets selected from the green in the rug. Can’t select the paint before you make a decision on the rug

Although you've posted more pictures they are so dark that's it's very difficult to give valuable suggestions. Are there any lamps or other source of light in the room?
