Let your builder build your house and YOU pick your colors!

I’m reminded of a house in my neighborhood - new owners constructed a metal building similar to yours behind the house. It is much smaller than yours but it’s white with black trim. They then remodeled the house, a cute bungalow. They painted it white and ALL the trim (and gutters) black. No matter how tiny the trim, it was painted black. To my eye, the house looks cheap. Black WIDE window trim is fine, but 2” wide trim pieces on the (formerly charming) front porch do not look good.

Oh and one more thing. The white house and the white barn in my neighborhood are not the same white. (Probably because the metal barn came powdercoated but the house was painted with house paint.) They’re located pretty close together so it’s obvious. If your home is not right next to your barn, I don’t think that would be an issue for you if you want white.

Just food for thought.

The barn already has two shades of white. I'd not choose another white for the house. Choose an attractive color matched to the style of your house with a roof color to coordinate. If you're using stone all around the house, not just the front, pull colors from that material. I don't consider the barn color a well thought out choice. I'd learn from that instead of continuing along that path.

Make the house the dog and let the barn be the tail.
