Off-center crib and decor balance

We placed a crib and bench along a wall. We had originally had the bench at the foot of the bed, but there wasn't space to walk around the crib. Now the crib and bench are off-centered on the wall. We plan to put a long shelf and artwork above the crib. How do I cause the shelf and art to add balance?

a photo of the scene would help. What is the bench used for?

I wouldn't put anything above the crib. It's not safe for the child, and if you think it's visually stimulating, they are only seeing it from below.

Without seeing, hard to suggest, but I’d be looking for functionality and therefore would move the bench elsewhere for now. You’ll achieve balance with wall accessorized per below and get functionality with a storage/change table - even if furniture is not centered.

Your change table would be smaller and crib turned.
