Goo be gone will do it, then hit it with rubbing alcohol. I prefer 99% rubbing alcohol and buy it by the two gallon box to use on just about for every as a solvent. 70% has water and don't to wait for it to dry, but for you it could weep water into the keyboard.

I ordered a open box from best buy during covid so had to wait in the parking lot to pick it up. When it came out it was just a nasty looking tower with nothing else. I refused it, and told them to get me new one and they did. But what they did was give me a new one at the same open box price and that was nice. What I did learn is never buy a used computer.
