Cabinets, Walls, and Trim Colors

We are going through a build process with the following dilemmas and welcome any feedback. Farmhouse look. Ignore the writing in the picture below. This is what we are trying to achieve stylistically.

1. We like SW Alabaster for interior paint color

2. We would like white trim work and are thinking Pure White, Extra White, or Highly Reflective White.

3. Lower cabinets stained and uppers painted white.

4. Black appliances

5. Floor similar to picture above

6. White Countertops

7. Black hardware and lighting

Problem: Our upper cabints only have 3 choices of white. We cannot paint them the same color as our trim. What are some solutions to address this issue?

I worry that trying to match trim to the white of the cabinets will make the trim not work well all,over the house with Alabaster as I am aware few whites really work with Alabaster, which is in the white family itself.

What are the three choices of white for the cabinets?

Why not make one of those your trim color throughout the house?? The white cabinets have to work with whatever countertop material you select also.

A slightly different white might work as well as ALABASTER.

Great question. the concern with using a different white for the trim, other than the ones mentioned (such as trying to match the cabinets) is that i have read Alabaster can be tricky to use with other whites, since it is in the white family itself. Here is the only oic i have of a paint color sample of the cabinets. As you can see, it is very bright white. The other options did not seem close to anything interesting.

Can you pick the white cabinet color based on the one that goes best with Alabaster. Same family, might be lighter or darker but not a bright white or gray white. The trim color can be alabaster or alabaster lightened if you are looking for a contrast.

Those are good ideas. Maybe paint the trim Alabaster trim semi gloss and walls matt, then pick the best whitenod the three.
