It's not the material it's the color! Any sheet metal of any kind painted black will show every imperfection with high definition clarity. In other words it sticks out like a sore thumb! It has to do with light reflection and contrast that makes them highly visible on black.

You will NEVER EVER get around the amplification of waves and imperfections, and as the years go by it's going to get worse. Should have never picked black in the first place.

is there a color that would work well that isn't black?? The house is darker so white wouldn't be good.

Basically without seeing the house as a whole, Dark Bronze would work better but all would need to be changed from black. As mentioned black brake metal shows every imperfection scratch and dimple. It also move a lot in the sun and will fade rather quickly.
