We need to see pictures of the entire room. Please post them.

Lots of random pieces of furniture. Why is there a daybed in the living room? Maybe you can find a special location to place the day by the window.

Your room requires a much larger rug for this space.

The room has a major wall of windows. Can you post a picture with the drapes open? and one standing at the windows looking back into the area?

Everything you’ve assembled is so open and airy, except the one sofa, that it gives the impression that it’s all temporary. Ready and easily picked up and moved. So if you are buying some new items, think about things that look like they have a little weight to them…closed storage or chunkier legs or skirts to the floor. Even the pots in the corner look like they are waiting for you to open the door so they can go outside.

I would start by redoing that whole media and display wall with a well designed Besta system from Ikea That will eliminate all the odd ball pieces of bookcase TV storage .. It takes time to design with all the pieces available but at the end you have something totally custom to what you need . This is one example there are literally 100s of ways to put the pieces together . PLease never tie drapes in knot and you need new ones but not until you have figured out the new furniture . To start no daybed a nice look is a sofa and 2 chiars . Hard to actually know the size of the space since the pics distort the space . A to scale floor plan is the way to get help done on graph paper all windows doorways and measurements clearly marked . Posted here in jpeg format in a comment. Then yo will get the right help. Is this a space that should have a dining area too?

You have an nice large room. For furniture layout ideas to start with, post a hand drawn floor plan showing all dimensions, doors, windows, etc. Once the furniture layout is determined, then we can show how it will look in your room.

Knotted drapes and a stationary bike are not really conducive to a classy look : )

This is floor plan size ,

The living area is approx 675 x 900 cm.

Dining area is separate. the wall is full size windows, as in the photo, and city view :)

Would a furniture layout like below interest you?

2 sofas - one with console table behind, 1 end table, coffee table, 2 armchairs with side table, 2 poufs, 1 desk area with bookcase, and 1 TV wall unit.

If not let me know what your preferences.

if we have 3 sections would it look too constricted ( book shelf with office area then the living with sofa and tv console? )

The plan is to scale. There is 6 ft. between the console table behind the sofa and the desk/bookcase unit. I felt the desk would look lost on it's own along the wall. There is also 6 ft. between the TV console and the side of the sofa and the side of the armchair, you have a wide room.

If your keeping your existing beige sofa which is an Ektorp if I'm not mistaken, Ikea now has the Uppland which is almost identical and at a good price. For the curtains, I would do panels and keep them open if you have a nice view, just let them hang straight down, no tie-backs.They can be in a neutral tone of cream/beige or one of the light blue from your area rug (Ikea has curtain panels at good prices but take them with the tape back which will give the impression of pleats at the top). I'm showing accent pillows from Etsy, they have a nice selection and you can get feather pillow fillers at Ikea at a good price (feather gives the luxury look). I you cannot find a 48 inch square coffee table in your budget range, look into finding 2 - 24" x 48" tables and place them together. The armchairs is from Wayfair. Here are just a few ideas...

A comfortable cou area is 12’x12’, so you need to pull the furniture in. I don’t know how many centimeters 12’ is, but the room looks pretty big.
