Best slow cooker: Experts Recommended best crock pot

My old slow cooker has started driving me crazy—it used to make the most tender, juicy meat, but lately, no matter what recipe I try or how many hours I leave it on, the meat still comes out tough and chewy. I’ve double-checked my recipes, tried different cuts of meat, even adjusted the liquid, but nothing helps. I think it’s just worn out and no longer heating properly.

Now I’m ready to invest in a new one. I’ve narrowed it down to two highly rated options on Amazon:

1. Emeril Lagasse Extra Large French Door Air Fryer Toaster Oven Combo– 26QT capacity, 24 cooking functions, stainless steel finish, 7 accessories included.

Pros: Extremely versatile (slow cook, bake, roast, air fry, and more), large capacity for family meals, stylish design, can replace multiple appliances.
Cons: Larger footprint takes up counter space, learning curve for all functions, higher price point.

  1. Crock-Pot 6 Quart Cook & Carry Programmable Slow Cooker with Digital Timer– Stainless steel finish, pack of 1.

Pros: Simple and reliable slow cooking, programmable timer for set-and-forget convenience, travel-friendly with locking lid, affordable price.
Cons: Limited to slow cooking (no multi-function features), not as large as some models, exterior can get warm during use.

Both look perfect on paper, but I can’t decide which one will actually deliver those fall-apart, melt-in-your-mouth results I’m after.

If anyone has tried either of these models or has expert advice, please point me in the right direction. I just want to get back to cooking hearty meals without worrying about ruining good meat.

How many of us does it take to flag it before it goes away? I've flagged it more than once, hope everyone does their part.

This AI spam is becoming very common, unfortunately.

I jave flagged it as well. It just won’t die. Maybe everyone who flags need to indicate in the comments, so this is taken seriously.

    Done.

    Me too, but still here.

The follow up post by same spammer has gone but not the original. Did people flag both or just the most recent?

Note, if you click on the little flag on the post, and it is pre-marked as "spam" you still have to click on "spam", then submit.

    Reported (twice!)

Now I'm even reporting ti as "Offensive", and even that isn't helping.

    It's the weekend.

But 2 or 3 spam flags should be automatic.

Spam flags are always reviewed by the Houzz mods first before removal and they don't work on weekends.

This one has been going on long before the weekend. And I can tell you that spam posts are removed without 'review' by moderators, but with two or three (more?) flags. The staff of Houzz does not moderate content unless abusive.

Sorry but you are incorrect! To remove an entire thread/post (not just a comment) DOES require moderator intervention.

And the thread may have been around for a few days but no one commented on it or flagged it until the weekend.

Might help to get your facts straight!

I personally flagged it before the weekend, and others have, too. The 'yesterday' date stamp on early posts to this thread are wrong, something is wrong with Houzz software right now.. And notice, I'm the one who calls out most spam (at least in a few forums) day in and day out. I know how it works, that's a fact.

I've seen this happen with small glitsches. They get reported on Thursday, but aren't looked at until Monday. That's why I mentioned the weekend. One surmizes that the stack of clearances overflowed the workweek. I also flagged before Saturday, and was surprised when it didn't go away immediately. My speculation is that thread flags are either randomly or by algorithm sent for review. There may be a filter that thinks that AI spew looks legit, since it's so much more sophisticated than a year ago, and you have to read for content to realize it makes no sense. Or, it's possible, that they really do review every flag but if they just glance at one that's flagged by Sushipup and it's obvious, they just push the remove button (in the old days, we'd say "rubber stamp") and it'll seem nigh on instant, but if it's more complicated, or they don't have time to review as it comes in, it gets added to the backlog. Whatever the facts are, I really hate to see an evil HAL spawn with no tangible form causing arguments between us real people who ingest real, high quality organic matter, which we combine and prepare with love for our fellows.
