Wooden or woven trays, slim coffee table books. Then you can set some small decor pieces on them.

They're too close to the sofa. Move them out a few inches. They look squished. They're also a little short. For ease of use they should be the height of the sofa arm so I would raise them up with some type of tray as suggested above. I wouldn't put anything on the tray you have enough decor in the room. Also I would remove the runner from the ottoman and some of the pillows from the sofa, There's no where to sit as it is now without removing them all. Just leav ethe blue one. You live there, right?? You don't want it to look like the furniture showroom. You've done such a great job with the colors, etc. don't go overboard

You appear to favor everything symmetrical.

you're right, no need for another lamp, but Keep them simple, a little box, book or collectible.

An empty space is more inviting, for a glass of wine or cup of tea.

Same with the pillows. too many says, "no room for you".
