I am perversely fond of this highly poisonous plant!! 🙄 Specially those with the red foliage. Unfortunately, I have yet to find it offered locally and mail order for a single plant (don't need more!!) is too much of a bother.

Yes and given their toxicity I am way surprised that such a "mass planting" is so close to where the public come and go ie indoor public pool and gym etc....foliage and possibly flowers and seeds within reach of goofy kids. And I know for a fact that this same display is recreated yearly.

I do see them as small plants at some nurseries but usually not till later in...June. But they are easy to start from seed. I have made a mental note to do it again next March. (My only concern is our cats and their curiosity re a small plant growing under lights).
