Is this stony pit virus?

last month
last modified: last month

I am worried my quince tree may have stony pit virus.

Can any of you orchard experts help identify the cause?

The fruits all look very misshapen, gnarled, with pit-shaped indentations everywhere, but the leaves do not appear affected.

location is in western WA state

It's a very rare quince variety and may be difficult to replace.

(It's one of those rare varieties that are possible to eat by slicing thin, without cooking or with very little cooking, lacking astringency)
