milkweed with stiff sort of rounded leaves, not a. syriaca

This grows in our hayfield. It gets mowed twice a year so it's hard to say how tall it gets. The leaves are mostly 2 1/2 to 3 inches long.
I have another unknown milkweed with narrow leaves and I'm wondering if they could be the same. They both have stiff (compared to the other milkweeds that I have) leaves. I think the buds are starting to open in that last photo. Just not much color to the flowers.

2 months agolast modified: 2 months agoIt's Short Green Milkweed,, Asclepias viridiflora. Mead's Milkweed is very rare. Botanists keep it's location hidden. The leaves in the origonal post look more rounded than the leaves in the later pics, and that partucular plant may be a hybrid of syriaca x viridiflora?
