You already have the furniture mostly in position. Move the desk to face the wall opposite the bed so you can easily look out the balcony door and window. Scoot bed over to center it in the nook. Add bedside table(s) with lamps. Sofa faces tv. New small bistro table with two chairs next to the pass through.

Coffee table or side table decision depends on how spacious it feels after the furniture has been there a week or three. An ottoman instead of a coffee table is wonderful if you like to put up your feet while watching tv. Some ottomans have optional trays for serving food.

Two possibilities for your desk and it can move close to the sofa so it does not block your walkway to the balcony. You can also try Apple pie's idea of centering the bed in the alcove to see if you have enough walking room.

I would invest in a muphy bed that aslo has a sofa attached. It is a oiece you can have forever even when you buy a home they are great for guest spaces that you do not use often. I had one you guy client we actually put his Screeen for the TV on the bottom of his murphy bed in a loft.
