Does anyone have pictures of all SW Alabaster interior?

last month

I am thinking about using SW Alabaster for my walls (eggshell), trim (semi-gloss) and ceiling (flat?). Does anyone have any pictures of an all alabaster interior? And if so how do you like the space? My living room/kitchen face west and get the setting sun, would this make the alabaster look overly yellow? Thanks in advance for the help! I'll add pictures.

No way to see this in some one elses place and know if it works in yours.

I agree with Patricia since you have to test it in your space. I’ve seen Alabaster used in entire homes, and there’s a reason it’s so popular. Get some sample cans or peel & stick swatches to test.

We just did some renovations on a master bath. I was thinking about Alabaster until I could see it would lean too yellow in the space.

Excuse the lack of picture perfect photos, I was taking them for my daughter to show her how the quilt she made for me looks draped over the sofa. Anyhow, we didn’t use SW alabaster on our trim, but we did use it on the walls and ceiling. Most of our light comes from windows that face North-northwest. We are on the north side of a hill in the PNW. I do feel that the walls look a bit yellow (not overly though) sometimes, but you can see that we also have flooring that is a warm, yellowish color and that really pulls the yellow tones out imo. Also, our bright white trim makes the alabaster look much less white. I’m still quite happy with the color because I was going for warm, and it feels bright and pleasing even during our many gray days.

Here’s another photo as it’s turning evening. We had just installed the picture lighting, which is nice and warm and you can see how the paint looks against it.

Here’s a couple more of other parts of the home… we chose SW alabaster as a whole house color on the walls and ceilings. Our house has a split level front entry (our land is on a fairly steep hill, the house has 3 levels) so the blue door with windows is our front door, the blue sliding door is to our mudroom/laundry room (which goes to the garage) and the other photo is taken from the sliding door looking up near where the first photo was taken. Hope that makes sense.

And yet another photo…. You can tell we’ve still been working on the interior of our home. It’s a custom home, still new. We aren’t finished with a lot of the interior, still very much a work in progress. Our builder allowed us to do the majority of the interior finish work, there’s still a lot of cabinetry that we plan to build, and we still have many of our belongings in boxes. 😉

Thank you for the pictures, SKmom! That's exactly what I needed to see, how the same color looked on the ceiling and walls. What trim did you go with? I do like it with white trim it makes it have more depth.

Here’s a few of my master bathroom with alabaster on the walls and ceiling. The bathroom is currently another construction zone because the windows, that you see the edge of to the left of the vanity, have been taken out and sliding doors put in their place. Our master suite is on the 2nd story floor, with our kitchen and family room on the 3rd floor. We have a sizable deck on the 3rd story, but when the house was built (completed 2 years ago now) we couldn’t afford to add a deck on the 2nd story. We have been working on the 2nd story deck all summer now. The sliding door has brought in more light compared to these photos.

It was SW high reflective white. I chose it because of our white, IKEA kitchen cabinets. I don’t want them to look too out of place since our kitchen is so open to the rest of that floor. They’re basically a perfect match to the trim. We are eventually going to add white painted wood on the ceiling of the kitchen and finish out the tops of the IKEA cabinets in there as well. Our builder screwed up a little and our ceiling isn’t straight. Grrr! But we were desperate to get into our house because of a horrible temporary living situation we were in at the time so we were like “forget it, we will figure out our own solution.” My hubby is very talented and competent with DIY, thank goodness. Anyways, we will add the shins we need on the current ceiling to make the wood ceiling level so our cabinets will be level to the ceiling. (The cabinets are perfectly level, but currently don’t look it because they messed up)

Sorry for the typos on the last comment. I switched from my phone to my iPad. LOL!

I’m glad the photos are helpful, whether you choose that color or not. I remember spending FOREVER picking colors. But I originally picked Benjamin Moore colors and then we were informed that we could only get the good pricing with Sherwin Williams and then I had to start over, and all while I was unable to try to coordinate it inside the home I was choosing it for arghhhh!! LOL! Talk about second guessing myself constantly during the process!
The white interior trim was also nice when taking into account that our windows were all white vinyl as well, so the white of windows matches the trim. That was important to my hubby. Our exterior trim is also very bright white. (Our exterior siding is SW grizzle grey)

We just used SW Alabaster in our North facing great room. That said there are times of the day that the yellow comes out. You have to be okay with this going in.
