Window treatment

Looking for opinions on where to hang the rod for two drapes I plan on hanging on this window. It’s an odd window space. I can hang an extension rod if I go with option 2 to fit snug in the space or hang a rod up high and just remove the finial to the right.

I'd hang the rod from #1, but attached to the ceiling. IKEA's Dignitet allows you to hang curtian wire from an uneven surfact, like your slanted ceiling.

You want as much room as possible for the curtains to stack on either side, when opened.
