What is the depth that you need?

65" Ikea love seat. Push it to the far right and still have room for air flow from the vent. Let it become a beater sofa. If it survives teen years it will become his first apartment sofa.

    Or Article 74" sofa.

Please post pictures of the entire room, we need to see all 4 walls.

Thank you. Walls are same as the warm white in the pic, this is the only accent wall. Nothing is hanging on walls yet.

You could always go with the teenage bedroom sofa of the 1980s - the flip and fu**!

We are not in you house to see your decor, style etc. that's why I'm asking to see the entire room in order to make suggestions.

We are not there! Draw the room, please?........

Measure every solid wall, the door entry, the windows, the closet width. Upload that as a jepeg, neat and tidy. You can use graph paper a bold pencil and a sturdy tape measure.

That is first BEST thing to do.

Then add pictures, from all four angles!

I’d grab a great loveseat off facebook marketplace and add a fun patterned ottoman

I might use the alcove for other, and put seating elsewhere......but without a drawing, measure ,It's a mystery: ) as to what may be possible.

First ask him what he thinks . I care not what the decor in the rest of the house , this is his space . Maybe 2 bean bags or a gaming space ?What you call decor is nothing really to do with decor only the necessities for a bedroom. A teen boy should have lots of interests that is where decor comes from in a kids bedroom

He says cool comfortable seating keeping things cozy but simple. Everything is in black cream, white and gray. There’s minimal decor or anything to show at this point.

We don't need the decor.......we need the DRAWING: )

Don't know if it will all fit but think a small sofa with one end table and a small coffee table would work.

Take himshopping and see what he likes the very poor guidance coming from him IMO says leave it until he shows some actual interest in helping. I had 3 boys they had 3 very different bedrooms but had much to say about what they wanted

Sounds like he‘d be happy with anything if comfortable. If he saw examples of decor, seating, usage and lighting that appealed to him, it will likely be a more used area and there are lots of ideas on line.

Consider floating the seating away from wall and it won’t feel as cramped. Consider also painting the two side walls, which will create a cozier feel and perhaps he may even want a darker color.

I’m confused why this is a dilemma. You have the length of the space and your son’s wishes. Go shopping for a smaller, cosy, sofa and call it done.

This aversion to measuring,as is so frequently requested, is becoming endemic on this site. The OP is more than happy to show pictures, AI images , and 3D, beacause it’s easier, but won’t do the homework to get the free advice.

They have a measurement of the space. I believe they are asking for comfortable seating suggestions. But really it’s a one and done space, since small.
For a teen I would probably hot up ikea and bring him too!

What does he need? Study space with a desk? Space to organize and store his stuff? A place to sit and read that's not his bed? Space to play games with friends? Depending on his age (19 is quite different from 13), he might not really know.

If this is a new house, you might wait a bit to see what he needs. For example, if he was doing homework at the kitchen table in the old house and the new house is more open plan, he might want some quiet homework space that he didn't need in the past.
