help needed on kitchen colours

Hello
I am lucky enough to live over looking the water and love the Hamptons and Australian costal look but am struggling to decide on the final colours to use in the kitchen.
It is a big south facing family kitchen, with a light grey flagstone floor and a big oak wooden table by the window, There will be a long kitchen island running through the middle of the kitchen, drawing the eye outwards the view, with a matching oak dining end.

I want to keep the room light and bright and bring in other bright pastel shades, through other items but am struggling to decide on the final kitchen cupboard and wall colours.

I like the two tone cupboards where the under unit cupboards are a darker / colour and the top cupboards an off white.

I am tempted to use Farrow and Ball Lulworth paint on the base cupboards, but don’t want this to be too pale. I love ice cream bright pastels, but am not sure i am brave enough to go with a pink or yellow.

I have tried to find ideas on Houzz, but sadly this time it’s not given me the inspiration i need.

I don’t want to regret the colour i chose or it not have longevity.

thanks in advance.

You will get best advice if you can post photos of floors, the wood you mention, the space, the view, etc. we all ‘imagine’ things differently so give us actual images please.

I would choose a neutral creamy white for walls and cabinets and let your accessories be the accent. Ice Cream pastels, especially pink or yellow might get old, fast.

Coastal colors in muted pastel green and blue, aqua would be more easlly acceptable, for me.

Do what you love, it's your home. being selective with your colors, it's doable.

I think Lulworth Blue or something similar would suit what you described. I’d head to a F&B shop if near by (bring a flooring sample) and explain your vision and let them recommend an off white or two that works with blue (maybe they will recommend another), the oak, and grey flagstone (sounds lovely). Maybe hold off on the pastels until kitchen is done as you may not want to take away from the water’s view.

I would have loved pink cabinets

In my kitchen too, lol. I did compromise with DH though, and decided on a blue/green , close to Tiffany blue. They’re vibrant, and not for everyone, but I do love them.

It may be hard to find examples of non traditional kitchen cabinets on Houzz, but you will likely get some results doing Google or Pinterest search on colorful kitchen cabinets.

Please post pics of the space and some clue as to style. Ice cream colors are a staement in a kitchen so need to be chosen carefully I like the F&B color but a bit bedroom for me in a choice for a kitcehn so I need context. Please no pink no matter how much you love it. Why not saty all one color for cabinets ( IMO the 2 toned look is becoming dated) do the nice off white and use those icecream color for accessories that can be changed easily. Can we please see the spaces you have already .

I was curious about F&B colors and if you haven’t already take at look at their website. Browse by room/color family - note the options in the dark captions. You can also book a color consultancy.

    Also note their color pairings.

Thought you might like this idea. Blue lowers, off white uppers and walls, and the Scallop shade in your backsplash + your grey limestone and oak table, I think could be stunning.
