Is this your main living room? I would do cozy lounge chairs in a darker color to contrast against the white walls. These are recliners from Rejuvenation as an example - pulling color from the art. I would also add a drink table in between the chairs.

A chair on stilts so you can see the TV. Dear lord, why is it so high? Hard to say what chairs should go here without seeing the rest of the furniture in the room.

We need to see pics of the entire area please. Include all the seating you are using.

You might look at a rug to place under the chairs you choose, along with some small side tables or C-tables, Then look at getting either bigger armchairs, or swivel chairs, depending on your need and intention with the chairs. Notice the larger framed chairs in the image of ours below:

I'm wondering what you don't like about the chairs. The room lacks some inspiration that could benefit from a rug as someone else mentioned ... try some wall color ... plants ... a lovely throw on one or both chairs ... pillows, etc. Just MHO.
