Centre it on the wall not in relationship to your table. Add two smaller pieces to the left to expand the art work but by the same artist so it looks cohesive. Move the art piece to the larger left or right wall so it makes more sense.

I guess it does not have to be centered with table

You could also show the rest of the space, and NO it need not be centered on the table. It's relationship is to the room.......and the wall.

I would center wall art with wall.

    rest of space

Thanks for additional pictures. Now we can see that the art most definitely should be centered on the wall.

    It’s a lovely sophisticated room.

Yes i will center it on the wall. the empty wallls next to the windows willl be adding a sconce to each side. The mirror wall also needs more. thank you

Yes. Center it. Glad you went for abstract in an other wise traditional / transitional room. The contrast is nice.

Careful on the sconces. There is no need to reinforce symmetry (that already exists) with unnaturally expected decor. Are the short walls flanking the bay window the same size? Here sconces would be an accent light, is there something to accent, like furniture below it, or are they to highlight the short walls and detract from the bay window and be disproportional to the amount of decor on the other walls? Are the recessed lights centered on this bay window and will they compete with the sconces?

Agree the that picture should be centered on the wall. That said, why not add your next piece of art on the wall to the

left? The one on the other side of the kitchen. Your room is lovely and sophisticated as littlebug said, but it lacks color.

Perhaps the next piece you could incorporate some color keeping with the same style as your already hanging piece.

Or maybe a piece with texture.

    Just my two cents.

I would center the mirror on the smaller wall where you have the art piece, so it reflects the view out the window. And center the art piece on the long wall where you have the mirror.

    Here are options for you

IMO the mirror should have been hung vertically with sconces mounted on either side.

I like the clean lines of the mirror wall and wouldn't add more. Perhaps add some tall and elegant candle sticks for height on the buffet and/or a decorative lamp (everything is kind of short there). In the corner on right of buffet maybe consider a tall sculpture that you would enjoy seeing, maybe something whimsical.

Have you tried swapping the mirror and art? The art may look nicer than the mirror when viewed through the large opening.

Just curious about the slipcovers-do they fit the end chairs?

Something with some color in it.

Can you consider a much longer credenza? Something at least as long as the table - if not longer? That would go a long way to make the room feel more finished - and gives added sconces or art more of a curated look.

I've refrained up to now. ....so don't everyone start yelling?

I'll title this "Make new Friends"

I have ...............and I might want....

ZERO malice intended here, but how many times have I seen this dining room......in more iterations than can be counted. Billions?

Do I want to be in the board room? Unless in use, ten chairs at a table always gives me that feel, unless filled with fannies at a table with candles lit: ) I would store two chairs or tuck to opposite corners...especially since they're chunky.

Wall color ...is there anything wrong with it? No! ......but I would looooove more contrast, more warmth, more mood if you will.

    I'd want a longer sideboard!

a different shape for the mirror, a contrast to rectangles and squares. I'm begging the warm glow of lamps, a better, more linear proportion for the chandelier. A warmer, newer metal.

I'd want the art I already have hung, to "jump" right off that wall and I definitely want a rug, some billowy silk or linen curtains on those windows: )

I'd want more. Okay, now you can allllll yell.lol

    find a rug: )
