pella vs Marvin vs provia for front door w/sidelights? most

Have to replace front door with sidelights. Lots of traffic, dogs, etc. What is most durable? Most energy efficient? Any other brands? Security feature experience? Integral screen or shade worthwhile? Love my old pella door but is really old so open to new thoughts! TIA!

An entrance door is the focal point of your house. This replacement of a single door and two sidelights could be an opportunity to change how your entrance looks. Can you post a picture of your entrance?

Thanks for your answer! I think we have an idea of what we want (similar style; spouse is set on style and not much room for movement!). But we have dogs and teens and a very heavily used entrance and thermostat is right near door (and not moving it - again, spouse) so need durable and energy efficient. The security features are a bonus but not essential. Likely: regular door with 1/4 divided lights, half glass sidelights. Low e glass ideally. (I’d take 1/2 or 3/4 door light with grid and full sidelights but it’s not happening) 🤣

Lol, when my spouse is set on something I'm not 100% on board with I go into research mode to bring ideas to life for a meeting of the minds. You can use the Provia website to explore ideas by taking a nice photo of your entrance area and upload it to the Provia website so you can use their designer tool to explore doors for a better visual. Not saying you'll go with Provia, but certainly use their website to explore door styles.

Post your entryway photo here as well for great feedback from the Pros.

Ha! Been there, done that, lost. At least I can get the door and sidelights replaced, AND BONUS - I can keep the sidelights, which spouse
thinks are violators of privacy. May be some truth to that, but our house is darkened by two stunning beech trees and I’ll take any light we can get. (NOTE: argument against more glass in the door is security, not energy efficiency (the latter of which I can get behind); I’d buy security, except 2 feet to the left is an oversized ground-access window with shrubbery in front of it. If someone really wanted to get in, there are several options. Again 🤣🤣🤣!

Provia, Marvin and way down near the bottom of the chain, just above the outhouse floor is Pella. Right next Jeldwen, Feather River, Masonite, and the other box store brands, etc, etc.

Provia and Homeguard are my recommendations for entry door systems, however offerings can be regional.
