I am looking at seed mixes from High Country Gardens and have been eyeing their deer resistant mix.

I'm seriously considering it. I have a lot of deer and I'm assuming they'd try to eat the wildflowers I'm hoping to plant.

I suggest finding a native nursery and seeking help there. I know Leucophyllum frutescens is native and deer resistant. I'm trying to find room for it in my California garden as it is a low water plant.

We have a xeriscaped front and backyard and its a lot lower in water use and care than a lawn. We don't have deer here but rabbits seem to leave our lantana, texas ranger, agave, yucca and cacti alone.

Rock mulch and boulders look good with water conserving plants and a leaf blower cleans it off. Heres a pic of part of our yard with a texas native texas olive blooming in the background.
