Favorite things to make in air fryer?

Have we already had a thread on this?

We just spontaneously bought a combo air fryer/toaster oven while picking up a Christmas gift at Best Buy. I never wanted an air fryer because I didn’t want an ”extra” appliance, but this will just replace our aging toaster oven. Does anyone want to share their favorite air fryer recipes? Can I use it to cook fish? I have salmon in the fridge!

Green beans, broccoli, steaks, radish chips. And yes you can cook your salmon in it. We use our sporadically but always question ourselves when we haven't used it for a while, why not?

When with the grands easy to do tater tots, nuggets, fish sticks, french toast sticks. Can get a hot meal on the table in 20 minutes or less.

Sueb I cooked a piece of haddock for myself just the other night. I also cooked brussels sprouts which I hadn’t done in a while. I cook a baked or sweet potato all the time . I get a lot of use out of mine . YMMV 😉

Anything you want extra crispy or evenly browned. Chicken legs and wings, game hens, chops. The grease from sausages and meatballs drips through the grate and you don't have to turn them.

Ded, it’s a Breville. It was on sale and I stood in the store and scrolled thru reviews on my phone — they were good, so I bought it (and got the last one they had in stock).

Sue...Is THIS the one? Macy's has it on sale HERE for $215. It has GREAT reviews!

I'm considering getting one to put in my pantry. I can toast chimichangas, two at a time! My air fryer is too small for that....my 30" oven...too big....:0)

Chicken, broccoli, brussels sprouts, do not need to add breading and doesn't use all the oil one uses for deep frying.

Nicole, I got the ”smart oven” in the compact size.

Salmon is really good in an air fryer. You can also buy, at Trader Joe’s, the prepared pesto chicken or Shawarma chicken and cook in the air fryer it for 15 minutes at 3:50. Serve with farro

Should have added that we have a Cosori air fryer. They seem to be foolproof and very popular. We concur.

Bacon (mine is small, so I have to cut slices in half), because when it is done, I can just pour the fat into my bacon grease jar.

Carrot fries. Salt, pepper, paprika, olive oil.

I was the same way (didn’t want another appliance), but I’ve used a few brands over time (including a Philips model), and honestly, they all shine when it comes to quick, crispy cooking.

Some of my favourite things to make:

    • Salmon — absolutely yes. Brush with a little oil, season, and air fry at about 400°F/200°C for 8–10 minutes. Stays juicy and gets slightly crisp on the edges.

    • Veggies — broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, green beans. Toss with a tiny bit of oil + seasoning. Air fryers (including my old Philips) caramelise veggies way better than a standard oven.

    • Frozen snacks — fries, dumplings, nuggets, fish sticks. No need for extra oil and they come out properly crisp.

    • Chicken thighs — bone-in or boneless both turn out great. Crispy skin, tender inside.

    • Toasted sandwiches — melts cheese without soggy bread.

    • Leftovers — pizza, roasted potatoes, wings… the air fryer basically “revives” them.

I ordereda Ninja Crispi from Costco. They are having a very good sale now. I only want a small air fryer since its just me and I dont have a lot of storage space! Looking forward to trying the suggestions here.
