Near White Daylilies of 2025

last modified: last month

Post your whites and near whites here - both registered and seedlings. Our next color will be orange on Friday. This includes all orangey tones, including peach and melon.

White Ambrosia performed well here last season with 14-17 buds and rebloom.

Fancy Lace had more yellow tones in Indy than it did in Nashville. It had bud counts in the mid-teens and rebloomed.

Believe in Angels always rebloomed in Nashville, but didn't here.

Debra, I love Believe in Angels! Nice rounded form and lacy. White Ambrosia is nice too.

Ice Carnival is a good blooming late.

Joan Senior is always my whitest.

Siloam Amazing Grace x Indian Giver

So Lovely is tall, large and well budded every year. Great for hybridizing.

    Vintage Wine x unknown

Seedling I got in a trade many years ago. Some years blooms amazingly well, other years not so much and short. It is nice and white.

Debra, love the first three ruffed whites, such a nice white seedling…love it too.

Brad, that is a very nice Siloam seedling.

Sunday Gloves got moved to a better spot, didnt miss a beat. This daylily has great substance and isnt affected by the sun.

Scandinavia, a bit slow to establish but will stay for now, more time might help.

Schnickel Fritz is a great small daylily, good increase.

How High the Moon is pure white and tall. Has had good increase.

Fortress of Solitude is lovely but slow to establish.

Forsyth Flaming Snow has been a disappointment. It’s time may be limited.

I don't know if it's the time of day or the sunshine, but your picture of Believe in Angels has me doing just that. It's angelic. Looks to have just a faint touch of pink to the base color.......Brad: Joan Senior was a very acceptable white in my garden for years. Bloomed well here. I also like your seedling out of Siloam Amazing Grace......Sherry: What a good picture of Schnickle Fritz. and Sunday Gloves looks very white indeed.......Maryl

Maryl and Brad - Believe in Angels does have nice form, and it has pink undertones rather than yellow..

Brad - Joan Senior does look very white in your picture, and so does that last seedling. I did not realize you had so many near white seedlings. They look good!

Sherry - I always like your photos of High High the Moon and Sunday Gloves.
