Debra, I like your Confession of a Hemaholic seedling and Chicago Girls.

As you all know, lavender isn't my color. I could find only one that was photographed last summer. This is Height of Fashion.

Brad, you have sooooo many lavenders, so pretty. Love the Carmen X Tune the Harp #1 seedling, my fav today.

    Just a few lavenders here.

Orchid Corsage usually reliable had fewer blooms last season.

    Lavender Stardust

Flutterbye, so reliable, always lots of scapes and blooms.

Bluegrass Memories benefitted from a move. This daylily needs some shade here.

Brad - You are the king of lavenders! I love those clumps of Carmen Renee and Astral Voyager. Pony always catches my eye. You have so many nice seedlings in this category. I think Sugar Magnolia X Chance Encounter and the Prairie Blue Eyes crosses are my top favorites.

Brad - You have so many lovely lavenders!

    Here are my contributions.

    Lavender Stardust

    In High Regard

    Limelight and Lavender

    In High Regard (again)

    Nature's Crystal Sea

    Westbourne Crying for Teresa

Lavender seedling out of LINDA SIERRA x VERTICAL HORIZON - Instant rebloomer and has occasional proliferations. It has 3-4 way branching with a bud count of 15+. I will get better stats on it this coming summer. I like the reblooming aspect.

    Spritual Corridor

    Frieda Allen Jerrell

    Lavender Blue Planet

    Lavender Blue Baby

    That is all from me.

David, you too have some great lavenders! Nature's Crystal Sea is my favorite of all of them by far. The form, pattern and shape are wonderful. I also really like Frieda Allen Jerrell and Lavender Stardust.

Vertical Horizon is still much used in hybridizing, and your seedling shows why. And Linda Sierra has stood the test of time. Spiritual Corridor after many years disappeared here.

Let's see what is on the screen..

Tickle Fingers is described as lilac by Judy. I like it a lot

Sword of Justice has moderate increase--an Emmerich.

Hanson's Rogue Wave. Curt considers his lavender program supra omnia (above all others).

Christopher Hitchens could stand a few more inches (as many of Curt's could), but the color is pristine.

I really like Korth's Free to Dance. It has good height, is vigorous, and free blooming.

Jazz Me Blues looked good last year, but was slow to establish. Like so many dips.

Captain Freckles looked good last year, but I never see freckles.

    Hanson's Forever Everett

Looks like another pic of Christopher Hitchens, Parentage includes The Dream Society (which is out of a Moldovan line), whose progeny are not fast multipliers in my experience.

A large bloom, this is Hanson's Storm Surge.

Alan Watts. Scapes were a bit shorter than usual this past summer.

    Laguna Brava. Height is good.

    Ethereal Sky Color--5 inches.

    Ideological Worldview

Marian Cavanaugh is a color that visitors remark upon.

    Grace Alone is a Korth.

Alpha and Omega looked good last summer.

This pic of Chateau Belair captures the color perfectly.

Alexander von Humboldt has good height.

Carolina Cool Down--beautiful and vigorous and tall. A paragon of performance, as Michael Bouman notes.

There's a Place. This Hanson is a short plant, but last summer, with the earlier rains, it was astoundingly attractive.

Cloudburst Requiem. Another Hanson lavender shade, too early to evaluate. Lavenders seem to frequently be "requiems,"

Edge of Irrelevance. Not a large flower; good performer and tall.

Deep Sea Adventures. More recurved than I like, but liked by many.

    Davisson's Gimmee (described as lilac)

    Byzantine Dagger

    Pacific Mariner is later blooming.

Victoria Josephine is stylish, vigorous, well budded, with good height, but doesn't seem to excite many rank-and-file collectors.

Let the Sea Resound is another tall and vigorous one (Emmerich).

Dave is tall, but not a fast multiplier.

Origins of Totalitarianism can be beautiful. It looks best in temps less torrid than those of last summer.

Sea World is also out of The Dream Society.

Requiem for a Dream. Good height, size, and scape.

Mantis, so many lovely blooms here. I am so glad you added these today, needed to see some daylily blooms.

mantis: nice group I just got Curt's Chateau Belair this fall so will have to wait till the upcoming season to see what the blooms will look like here. His pic on his website shows a deeper color than what you captured.

Wow, lots of beautiful Lavenders & Lilacs, Mantis. I'll try to pick my favorites.

Christopher Hitchens, beautiful color and design, terrible name.

Cloudburst Requiem also a beautiful color and design.

Captain Freckles and Laguna Brava are both beauties. Sea World is pretty too.

Mantis - You have a ton of nice lavenders. Christopher Hitchens is my favorite colorwise.

    Debra

    Mantis,

I will second your comments about photos and descriptions. I too appreciate Karol's descriptions, flaws, clump shots and greenhouse images vs outdoor images.

I have Christopher Hitchens arriving in the spring.

Note that for me CH is not a fast multiplier. It is also nowhere near the registered height. I suppose it was that height after it came out of the seedling bed, fertilized with chicken manure and growing in full sun. However, I also saw it later as a clump, and it was not much taller than mine (a bit under 30 inches).

Contributing Editor. I quite like this one.

Uppity Girls is tall and has lots of movement.
