In search of range hood transition duct

Range hood transition duct needed: 21-3/4" x 4-5/16” rectangle to 10”round duct

I purchased this used Thermador Pro Grand 42” range wall hood for our remodel. It’s missing the duct transition piece. Can this part be found at a local HVAC parts/supply store? I’m having a hard time finding it online.

It came with set up for vertical discharge. We have 8 ft ceilings and no option to vent out of roof, we must vent out of rear. I plan to change the discharge direction from vertical to horizontal by moving the discharge cover plate (Figure 4, page 8) and moving the blower motor from the top to the back of the hood (Figure 19, page 13).

Many HVAC distributors include sheet metal shops that make ducts and transitions to order. For example, Total Air Supply in Nashua, Manchester, and Derry NH.

I should add that I am aware the hood is discontinued. I just thought that the part might be easily found. Or could I get one made?

Doesn't the literature say it's supplied?

Distributors may not sell retail to end customers, but HVAC contractors will. In many areas, licensed HVAC companies are also called Sheet Metal Contractors. They by necessity have the training and equipment to fabricate sheet metal parts because it's required for their jobs when custom hard-metal air ducting is used.

If it's just one small piece needed, a busy contractor may not want to bother.

find a local sheet metal shop, they make stuff like that all the time, at the one I go to it might cost $50 unless they have it on the shelf

Well, if she paid $1250 for the hood -- particularly if included a blower -- she still got a good deal as that Thermador PH42GS hood without a blower is $2100 and the blower is an additional $1000.

Thank you all for your comments! I looked up local HVAC contractors and have a short list to call on Monday. Also, going to stop by an HVAC/plumbing supply shop called Slakey which is actually next door to the tile shop I planned to visit on Monday.

I think everyone forgot to read this paragraph. The transition from rectangular to round that the OP is looking for is for venting up through the roof, not out the back. All you need is a straight rectangular duct long enough to go through the wall, and a cover for the outside. It's still something you may need to get at a metal shop, but it is not nearly so complicated.

It would have to custom fabricate a part that meets the specs of the Bosch #00142367 Exhaust baffle TRANSITION W/ DAMPER.

Unless Slakey sells Bosch parts -- which it doesn't -- it's not going to have the part.

A damper could be included within the exterior cap, although I prefer blower driven dampers such as Wolf and Broan use on their exterior units because pressure fluctuations rattling the damper are resisted.
