Do you need more than eight seats regularly? Our table has eight chairs around it but we have two more chairs stashed in other rooms and then four folding chairs and an extra table ro add as needed. We can squeeze the two extra chairs, so seating for ten, relatively easily, and it is nice for when we need it, but ten as a set up daily is a lot to ask of a dining table.

Before we can suggest alternate chairs we need to see the table alone. In your photographs the table is hidden.

How wide are your existing chairs? You could fit 4 20" wide side chairs around your 10' table.

How often do you need to sit 10 at the table? Since I don’t like the look of having too many dining chairs in one room I purchased a nice folding table with upholstered folding chairs for extra occasional seating, not all at the same table but I’ve noticed the children & younger people prefer their own table. I think mine were from Frontgate.

Here's the table without the chairs. It has a 10' by 4' glass top and two pedestals

4 chairs x 24 inches = 96 inches and your table is 120, so length will work.

Style wise, that’s where it will get difficult, just for the sake of keeping the head chairs and will you be happy with mismatched and also complementing won’t be easy. When looking for 8 to suit, maybe keep in the back of your mind a unified look of 10. As well, the rug is on the small size, but given the room, larger is not possible. If the head chairs were not as heavy, perhaps it might help visually.
