63”x63” powder room - what to pair with accent tile??

last month

I renovating my 63x63 inch powder room. I found an accent tile I really like that I think would work behind the shared toilet and sink wall.

What colour or style vanity would complement to make it modern style? I need storage so vanity with drawer is must.

What else can I do to make this tile pop - other accents floor tile? Paint?

What is the size of that tile?

These vanities pick up the veining in the tile. They are from Wayfair.

Could be too large for a room so very small. Lots of cuts, lots of waste. If it's on the wall and the floor it could look very nice.

24x48 is much too large for a room that size. You would need 200-300% overage because of all the cuts needed.

Would really help to see photos of the entire room.

No way to that tile in a tiny space .first a waste of money to go such a alrge size but more than that it is too much movement in a tiny space . Post pics of your space and also the reason for tile on that wall at most you might need a backsplash but at this point you do not even know what vanity youwant. Cart before horse never works

6 of these tiles are costing me $200. Not about the money I thought it was nice but yes didn’t know where to start and was trying to make it work. I wanted some accent wall in tile and a vanity with storage. This little space had me overwhelmed! Appreciate the comments.

Choose your powder room floor tile and vanity first. I wouldn't use an accent anything (paint, wallpaper, tile, wood slats/molding) on one wall in a small powder room and especially not a textured, large scale tile. I'd choose a wipeable paint or perhaps a wallpaper and do all four walls, but that is chosen after the flooring and vanity are selected.

So the attempt is to go from the all time yawn of powder rooms, a mere five feet by five feet, to WOW!!!!!!! WOW !! and in a space that has and uses about as much water as a fish bowl at any one time, and it needs any accent tile...why?: ) It's not a wet bath, it's a little jewel space with minimal watery issues.

What is the flavor in the rest of your home? What is the flooring outside the little powder room? Is the powder room near a foyer entrance/front? Or near a kitchen and mudroom space?

Have you considered a wall paper?

Do you realize a wallpaper can make a room feel twice its size? Have you googled up some powder room images you might love, beyond the overkill of tile where none might be necessary? And even if you want it......there are many WAYS TO NOT A YAWN: )

You will need to be careful about the size of the vanity too since there are codes about spacing of toilet and vanity . I think seeing that wall and some of the others I would opt for wallpaper if you want something fun PRs are a great place to have a bit of pizzazz since no one uses the space for long To me the tile is overpowering in that space . The oicture is a bit skwed so maybe a to scale floor plan migh help but I would say you have room for 30" vanity make it wall hung and drawers instead of doors under the sink, This one from Ikea is 31" might work not sure exactly how much space you have It is called ANGSTJON perfect for samll spaces and good storage

This room is a starting point for the rest of the house. Plan to renovate in two years but this powder room was never done by previous owners. Wanted to do something modern and fun. Ok back to thinking appreciate the feedback!

Nobody in their sane mind worries about the powder room just yet: ) If it bothers you? Try PAINT: )

When in a couple of years you "renovate" , you consider the room as a PART of your whole.

Do a fun paint (walls and ceiling) and accessories in here for the next two years. Then when you renovate the whole house, you can deal with new floor tiles, vanity, etc in here.

Selecting one element doesn't make a successful outcome. You don't just estimate the square footage and then order that amount of tile. Tile has to have a layout so the cuts and seams are planned.

Do you have a photo of a powder room that you're using for inspiration?

You might want to consider a vanity with a banjo top that extends across the top of the toilet.
