Miele K1803Vi Fridge freezing at top, 50 degrees on middle shelf!

Hi all - I'm having a problem with my 10 year old Miele refrigerator. The top shelf is 24 degrees, but the middle shelf is 50. I had a repair person out who diagnosed it as the damper, which was replaced, but the problem persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you followed the instructions on pages 10 and 14-16 to set the refrigerator and SmartFresh drawers to the same temperature (37 degrees) and turn SuperCool off?

Have you cleaned all the ventilation slits as described on page 28?

Thanks to both of you. Yes, there is a fan and it does seem to be running. SuperCool is off and drawers and refrigerator are all set to 36 (at 37, the warm parts were even warmer). Cleaning the ventilation and the compressor were our first service call, and did not fix the problem.

I would order the service manual to figure out how the refrigerator works and a possible solution. The replacement for this discontinued refrigerator is the Miele K2802VI which costs a whopping $9200 so fixing the existing one is worth a lot of effort.
