They are beautiful. 4' is plenty of room for a walkway, especially in a bedroom. I would not object to looking at those at all and the added bonus of lots of storage would make it doable for me. You don't show the exact measurement of the wall (tho I could probably figure it out), but if there is enough room, you could separate them and stack a couple of pieces of art between them. If you like that idea of separating them to hang art you see from your bed, you could place them on wall B and the bed on wall D.

There you GO! I probably wouldn't separate, they're lovely. Butt them, and they're your "Art".

Add art left of that door to bath, and depending headboard? There as well.

Foot of bed is a convenient spot for shams, etc, but the wall left of bath is fine for a bench too.,Also nice with statement art above the bench. and keep your 48" of clearance foot of bed.

Go for it. I have 2 large armoires but they are not butted against each other so easier to open doors and interior drawers all the way. The space between them, and on the end of one is perfect for carry on suitcases. We are on the go a lot. Armoires can hold so much. We don’t have dressers.

The easiest way to figure it out is cut some carbord to size and put on the floor then go about your life and count how many times you step on the cardboard do not analyze just do normsl stuff . I find often on a floor plan stuff works but in real life no so much. I do love the armoires BTW

    What works on paper.........works 99%

Nobody needs more than 48" to pass by storage, to the bed. Even a wheelchair can pass.

The cardboard usually isn't necessary. Not to mention, thanks to Amazon, we have enough CARDBOARD lol

To really get the best idea of how those will fit would suggest using Patricia Colwell's suggestion.

How long is your bed that will be what decides waht fits do you have footboard and headboard they take space is it a California king . WallD is how long I do not think 2 will fit on wall D since there is doorway to deduct from the 16.6 ft You do say 2 right and each are 93" wide do I have that right ?

Two pieces that size should still work because a four foot walkway keeps the room usable and the ceilings are tall enough to handle the height. The clean teak lines help the volume feel lighter than a bulky closet system. Make sure the pair stays centered on the wall so the width reads intentional rather than crowded. This keeps the room balanced with the king bed on the opposite side.

Amazon is now cutting baclk on cardboard but even brown paper can do the test .

I cant figure out how to respond to individuals….. fyi there is an hvac return in the floor to the left of entry door that is 20” wide! ridiculous

    - i too thought of putting maybe a bench to put on shoes between them? and a piece of art or mirror above? may not be enough room, and it might end up a catch all mess

    - I think I will center on wall D

    - i think wall color will affect the space

    - the curtains are a moss green velvet

    - i have a lovely chest of drawers for wall B, and a fantastic piece inpicked up in a vintage store that will help keep things ”light”

    - i have picked sherwin williams lambs wool

    - thx everyone for yoir help

Scale/ your feet and inches, and you have 24" OR slightly more. left of the door where I placed the arnoires. Dead center isn't necessary

    No to this:, please?

Are these measurements for the cabinet both of them or one of them . 2 of them will barely fit since ther eis a doorway on that wall the path past them is not an issue .That corne space could be an issue The armoires are 156" togethr thne a doorway min 30" pretty darn tight IMO

JAN could you please post your drawing a 4th time? I don't think 3 times is enough.

    Sure! : )

To be noted, the ONLY reason I do that? Fewer and fewer are on a computer ......and from what I read and SEE? Fewer still scroll back, read much of any commentary prior to adding commentary. ,

Why does it matter. or why would it bother you, is a question. for which no reply is necessary : ) Have a great day!

    Great looking armoires!

If you center the side-by-side armoires on and across from the king bed, there should be plenty of room to access the door to the left of the armoires and to place a tree or plant in a floor pot to the right of the armoires. With the nearby window, that corner is a good place for a tree/plant.

Will they fit,...yes. Will it look appealing? Nope.

If I required additional closet storage in a bedroom I would opt for a modular built in closet system to run the length and height of the wall. The most flexible DIY system available is the PAX system from IKEA. Lots of interior options for storing clothes, and a variety of door types both hinged and sliding.

Beverly, I usually love your advice, but I think the armoires being asked about are beautiful and would much rather look at those than the walls full of doors in your examples.

I too love Pax but those cabinets are awesome and if I understand these there are 2 and homnestly Pax wiuld take up the sam amount of space so what would be a the benefit other than maybe a bit better organized storage . I just installed 4 wide Pax unitsin a super wide hallway outside our master they are great but pretty generic compared to those ones you have

I’m with those who say to put boxes in the space.

I also think that Jan is often right so if you don’t want to do the boxes-in-place idea, go for it.

He has lovely storage : ) . It fits on the wall. Were he my client? I say Yes, lets use them, they are 99% better chance of being better construction than anything you buy brand new. There's a framed art opportunity above, a collection of blue and white chinoiserie temple jars, lots of things come to mind......I do not see any problem.
