Why is the fence so far over that it is on your home?

I realize my photos are bad. My apologies. Here is a better one. We had it built so that we could have an enclosed front yard for the dogs and me.

She can’t get out of the car, the fence is in the way. Why is it so close to the driveway? I’d move it over 2 feet.

The car isn't on the driveway. The pix are taken from the street. She could get out and take different angles from the driveway or sidewalk.

If you leave the fence in its current position, there isn't much you can do to “break up the fence” imo. Painting it or hanging stuff on it will just call attention to it or make it difficult to exit the car from the fence side.

The only thing I can think of to ”break up the fence” would be to cut a window or two into it. Not with glass, but simply a window-sized hole or two, trimmed out with a sill, etc. This company sells steel inserts for wood gates/walls, for example.

Of course the poster could get a better picture! S/he could park the car in the garage and stand in the front yard to take the picture!

It might be possible to plant something the other side which would peek over the top in a couple of places. Is the other side in sun or shade?

You could plants a vigorous vine between the sidewalk and the fence and use a trellis or wires to train the vine along the fence bordering the driveway. You look like you're in a hot climate. Bougainvillea can grow 10-20 feet. Trumpet vines, which grow in zones 4 to 9 can get to be 25 feet, too. Hops will be pretty vigorous and long, too.

Very odd place ( & design ) for a fence. Do you not have a backyard for your dogs? Maybe staining it the color of your trim might help.

It always a good idea to set the fence back a bit and place plantings in front of the fence ti soften the appearance.

Stain the outside walls and posts in the beige color same shade on house. Get a couple tall trellises for inside mount along the driveway side and grow climbing vine.
If budget allows change out the grey stone to an earthy color.

How about a peek a boo cut out or two for the dogs to see what’s happening out beyond the fence?
