Window Treatments! Need ADVICE from pros, homeowners, anyone w/taste!

I was considering sheer blinds (the room darkening kind) for my family room and for the front room, wood blinds. Wood blinds and the shades would allow my husband to have that light he likes and I would have the privacy I like. For the front room, the wood or faux wood shutters would be neat, but I think blinds are a better option. For the kitchen, I did not intend to use window treatments, however, the sunlght has become an issue. I saw some basic black sun filtering shades that are pressure mounted and they appear very easy to install.I have attached some pics, and would love ANY and ALL ideas anyone has for my project. I am open to any and all suggestions. I am terrible at decorating -The below is the Levolor 'sheer' shade that I thought looked nice. The slats are important since they are light blocking.
And second Pic is the shades closed.Anyone have experience with these, positive or negative? This is the room I thought the faux or real wooden blinds would work well in. This is the area that privacy is the most important to me, since the front door is right there, driveway - and I value my privacy. I love the look of shutters, but I think the windows are too close together for those. All of the blinds, etc. for all rooms would be inside mounted.Close view of one of the foyer windows. As I said, I am very open to suggestions as I am not overly concerned with price. Please also share images with suggestions -Any and all help and ideas are very welcome. I do have an appt with the Lowe's person to come measure.I think the window treatments are very crucial. Thanks to everyone who has a suggestion!Looking for decorating advice in SE Wisconsin.

Talk to some sales people about cellular blinds that can be raised from the bottom or lowered from the top. While you don’t like salespeople, if you do your homework and detail some issues with windows in each room., including durability, different options for you and husband likes and dislikes, and consider how each will look from the outside. A pro can help you visualize that with software tools. Having a professional measure and install means any size or installation errors will be theirs to correct.

so many windows - how nice!

for the family room, bottom up shades might be nice as they can create some privacy but also let light and sky views in

for the kitchen seems like the glare would come from the top - so perhaps just standard shades there? i usually am a fan of bamboo blinds bc they bring in a lot of texture for the price, but for these windows I might want something less bulky

IMO window coverings seen together are best when they at least cordinate. I really dislike wooden blinds I have them in my new home and I am slowing getting rid of all of them The block view when open and clased they are heavy to use more cons than pros for sure. I think you need to understand what you NEED for ech space like privacy , heat and UV control . I have never like bamboo blinds but at least they do not weigh aton. I like solar shades where heat and UV are an issue they give you daytime privacy but not nightime so I often use drapes for nighttime with them . Drapes can add a nice layer of softness to. Window coverings are a lot like dressing some things work wellsome not so much. The person coming to measure will have some advice too . Not sure where the info about you not liking sales people came from but maybe I meissed it , I kind of like the zebra type blinds but hace never really like blinds all askew on windows maybe my OCD so I tend to go solar shades to control light and UV and drapes for nighttime privacy the blinds I just leave down all the time since I get to keep the view all day.
