    So it looks as though there is too much stuff in this area. Here is a suggested layout that might help the situation.

    Place the Black Bookcase under the TV

    Turn the sofa/chaise to face the TV

    Move the Christmas Tree to the corner so you're not overwhelmed when you enter the room.

    Place the tall white bookcase on the wall next to the window

    Place a lounge chair in front of the white bookcase.
