Recycled sliding glass doors for greenhouse roof

We need some help regarding the roof of the greenhouse we’re building. Someone suggested using recycled glass sliding doors for the roof. Do you recommend this? And how would you best install and seal them?

Those are tempered and may be laminated for safety and strength. Probably insulated units. If you have a source, congrats.

CRLaurence has Dow793T glazing sealant. That and 3M vhb tape are used in setting unframed glass units in building construction.

Nothing light about a piece of glass used in a sliding door. I can't imagine the steel structure that would have to be created in order to support it.

This green house below is using corrugated polycarbonate panels for the roof that are much lighter and won't need extensive support. You can purchase them at HD or Lowes.

There are DIY Kits for greenhouses if you prefer.

Denmark has a large commercial glass greenhouse segment. Explore products from Drivadan and Juliana for construction ideas. I've seen their greenhouses used to enclosed single family homes. Pretty interesting.
