Can't get replacement cooktop delivered to the States

My Bosch induction cooktop (white 24") still works but has a large crack running through it. I'm worried about safety. I originally bought it on Amazon UK, who shipped it to me in the States, and it is no longer available. Bosch UK sells the replacement glass top but won't ship outside of the UK. I knew when I bought this 6 years ago that I was potentially getting myself in a predicament, and here I am.Options:- buy the same 24in white cooktop from Summit. But the reviews are not good at all.- have Bosch ship it to someone in the UK who is willing to ship it to me.- fill in my quartz countertop cutout with an extra piece that I still have. And then use portable plug-in single induction burners or look into InvisiCook? Am I missing anything? I cook at least two meals daily and rely on my stove.Thank you!

"fill in my quartz countertop cutout with an extra piece that I still have."

I don't like this idea; difficult for it to look good and avoid contamination.

Buy a cooktop with a larger footprint please.

You left out an option: Buy a new 24-in Bosch induction cooktop in the US. You can get it in any color as long as it's black.

I came back to say that I meant that lightheartedly. But I realize it's serious for you, so I apologize for cracking wise without also offering a solution. Is the whiteness of the cooktop really essential for your kitchen's overall look?

You're right about the abundance of options in black :) and black is a great and striking color in a kitchen.

Yes, I have a "hide the appliances" look going on in my blue kitchen with white countertops, so I've loved my bluish-white cooktop

Wow, that is a special look! I hope you can find what you need. Looks like wdccruise found some sources.

Thank you! I hadn't even thought of the other Amazon locations!!!

I would personally just replace it with a black cooktop, but if it is extremely important to you to maintain the luck, then your best option is to figure out how to get one from the UK, if you have someone willing to accept the package and then ship it to you.I would not try to fill in the countertop and then use a plug-in induction as my main stove for cooking that often and aesthetic purposes

The cooktop sold in the UK is the same as that sold in France and Italy.

Yes, I'm so grateful you mentioned Amazon France and Italy! I'm going to order either my Bosch again or the Electrolux from one of them. This solves my problem. Thank you again!

Sorry I don’t want to sound daft but if you buy it from somewhere in Europe with the electrical be the same?

My original purchase was from Amazon UK so we have already dealt with special electrical setup. Thank you for the question though. I will certainly check manuals before deciding on a (replacement) Bosch versus Electrolux.

You may find that it is as cheap to travel to Europe and bring it home in your luggage.

When you find a round-trip flight from the US to Italy for 90 euro ($104) including an oversize baggage charge, let us know.

Wow, that’s a great shipping price!
