My kids moved a lot when being changed and having anything above the change table would have ended up in them from them grabbing at it or kicking it. I would relocate the mirror

Should I do white shelves?

I feel like art would add more than a mirror? it’s personal but i tend to to like fewer items that are larger scale - I’d hang a soft canvas

After 2 kids and 5 grandkids a painted mural on the wall similar to the canvas hanging above. It can’t be pulled down. Kids were all big and grew faster than many before potty training, so shelves, or anything that can be kicked, grabbed, falling down try to avoid.

I had a setup almost like you are going for. Although I had the mirror on the other side of the dresser from the changing pad and a small hanging thing over the pad.

Kids are all different. Neither of mine ever tried grabbing anything while being changed. If yours starts grabbing for the mirror you can move it imo.

I like the white shelves if you are keeping the wall color.

NO mirror or shelves a bove a change table IMO but some nice fun wall decor that is actaully on the wall noy hung. I love decals that can change as the child grows and spend the money on a much deeper change table that one will not be good in a couple of months when rollover is fun.

That changing pad is prob fine. I had a different style but I used the same one for my calm angel and my wild wiggly one 🤷🏻‍♀️🤪
If they get too wiggly you put them on the floor!
