How old is the PC? Is it an all in one or are you describing the behavior of a monitor? How old is it?

If you use a monitor, have you checked that the connection cable is tight and secure?

Hi Elmer, thx for responding. It a fairly new all-in-one HP pc, bought back in Oct. All connections are good and tight, this 2 second black-out doesn't occur very often, not often enough to be a headache, just every other day or so. All seems normal once the screen returns.

If purchased new last October, it's still under warranty. Go to the HP site and see how to get it checked out or replaced on HP's nickel.

Blacking out every other day is too frequent. My bet is that something's wrong with it.

Thx Elmer, I'll let it go for a while longer and see what happens, it's not getting worse and it's just an occasional 2 second annoyance about 2-3 times a week. When the screen returns to normal everything works as per usual. For the time being we'll see how it goes.......

Your call, of course, but what you're describing shouldn't happen at all. That's not how a properly functioning PC acts. Something is wrong and such things don't get better or go away on their own.
